Leather Squares (4in) with Metallic Foil Surface for Gold Work

This leather-based material is an absolute must for crafters creating fantastic gold work pieces.   The pigskin leather is extremely thin and flexible whilst still being strong and is intended to be hand-sewn.   

 

The leather is foil paper heat pressed on pig suede, the metallic sheen shifts and dances as it moves, changing in shade from every angle.   Our crafters have created some amazing pieces using this leather and it is very, very effective.

 

Having said that, it could be used for any craft which needs that certain something to set it off.   Gold workers typically "stuff" the leather with felt underneath so that it stands out from the surface of the work, but that is not necessary.   It could easily be glued to almost any surface if you wanted to use it for something else such as a card or a collage piece.

 

Due to leather being a natual product, occasionally skins may have small defects and natual blemishes.  .
