Historic House and Garden in Hand Embroidery with Kathleen Laurel Sage
This year's topic in hand embroidery is based on National Trust or English Heritage houses and their exquisite gardens. Come and learn how to capture your chosen house and all your favourite plants, flowers, garden nooks and vistas as you learn how to create backgrounds to embroider them onto.
Kathy will guide and show you how to create dimensional borders, brickwork and cobbles with stitches to create flowers, grasses and garden structures that will bring your project alive month by month, telling the story of your famous home and the garden life around it.
Two groups will run over 12 months, one on a Tuesday and the other a Wednesday. These will be run as separate groups and as such, days will not be interchangeable.
Tuesdays 2024: 2 April, 7 May, 4 June, 2 July, 6 August, 3 September, 1 October, 5 November, 3 December. 2025: 7 January, 4 February, 4 March.
