When Sue was four years old her Aunty gave her a large needle and taught her tapestry. This was the start of her love of craft. There isn't anything she wouldn't try.
Sue's first love is embroidery and she was lucky to have a needlework teacher at school who encouraged her.
It was during 2000 that Sue discovered beading. She became a beading addict and just three years later she started to create her own designs. One of her pieces was seen at an exhibition and Sue was asked to start teaching. She taught at Adult Education, clubs and shops.
Sue studied City & Guild Levels 1 & 2 in Bead Weaving and received a Certificate of Excellence.
During lockdown Sue taught herself to crochet and in 2023, she went back to her first love, embroidery and since then has created a sample book of embroidery techniques.
Sue, however, still enjoy's her beadwork the most and she loves designing and teaching.
