Digitised Embroidery Workshops 2025 with Kathleen Laurel Sage
Have you just bought yourself an embroidery machine? Have you already got a machine but are intimidated or unsure of how to use it? Then come and join a workshop with Kathleen Laurel Sage.
These workshops are designed to enable you to get to grips with the basics of your embroidery machine. Kathleen provides a design (you will need a USB stick to transfer the design). Recent classes have included a miniature heirloom bear, Christmas ornaments, an Autumnal wreath, a bag and a design on a garment.
Should you wish, you will then use your machine to amend the design, layout, colour, words, size etc. When you have finalised the design, you will be ready to stitch.
Load your hoop with stabiliser and fabric, attach the hoop to your machine and away you go.
These workshops will be £52 per day. Alternatively, you can attend all 6 of the 2025 workshops for £270 (£45 per session) or 3 for £147 (£49 per session). If you book 3 online, please tell us on checkout which 3 dates you would like to attend.

Friday 25 July 2025 - Quick Quaint Quilted Blocks
At this workshop you will embroider on plain white blocks or use white thread on navy Sashiko blocks to create stunning patterns in relief. There are 12 blocks to choose from. Lace and delicate embroidery designs will be added to give an heirloom heritage effect or perhaps choose navy, black or brightly coloured fabrics to compile a contemporary colourful twist to traditional embroidery and quilting.
